Josiah, at his house on day nine.He will be tiny for a fleeting moment, and then everything will change.

I feel like I should type quietly as I post these.Love.At this point, he was completely conked out. I was telling his Mom that if he was mine, there wouldn't be enough hours in the day for me to process all of the pictures I would take of him! He changes EVERY DAY. So hard not to go nuts with the camera.What a miracle! He was born early after ten weeks of bed rest at the hospital by his Mom. Thank you, Alasha and Steve for letting us document this short moment in Josiah's life before he gets big like his brothers!

Lauren and Will

When we arrived at Susie and Don's house (Grandmommy and Granddaddy to the twins), we were like, "YES-this window is HUGE!!!" We had been wanting to do a window-lit black and white session of the twins for their birthday, and it turned out wonderfully! Another testament as to why we LOVE home sessions.

Highlights of the session: the huge caterpillar pillow, which made for a perfect posing tool, Doug showing us his belly-rubbing skills (haha), and Will and his moving background. lol.

Can not WAIT for this wedding!! This was the perfect engagement session: a totally natural location (a private ranch in Granbury), amazing light (which ALMOST didn't happen), and two people who were willing to completely open up and let us in to their relationship.

Natalie and AJ, thank you for bringing us in to your world! I hope that these are the best pictures you have ever taken in your entire life (to date)!

I love that her cute yellow shoes match the flowers!The wind was really working for us. :)This was an adorable series of shots. We took these on this dock that was overlooking the lake. I liked the feel of this one the best.I love every single one of these, because it seems like every one is so THEM. Really had a hard time choosing for the blog! The natural prettiness of this one is what drew me in.He completely adores her. Love it.

...And this is the part where I have to convince you that we did not hire models for this shoot! This one looks so "Ralph Lauren". They really pulled off the exact look I was going for.

OhMyGoodness, I want those shoes!As with everything else that day, the sunset was PERFECT; a pink and blue sky that faded to orange and purple. Gorgeous. I love their expressions and body language in this one. So happy.You guys look AWESOME!! Thank you for bringing us out to the ranch. I don't think you could have picked a better place.

Will and I have so much in common with Carolyn and Jerry. This engagement session felt more like a modeling shoot, and we felt very lucky to have such a gorgeous couple that looks so good together. I think it's their love that makes them so special :)They really let us in on their bond.Cuute!Love the twinkly lights in the background. They match the twinkle in Carolyn's eyes.It is barefoot grass weather.They are really good at laughing at each other.See?We've been wanting to use this field behind the Stockyards for some tall grass pictures, and this was the perfect time to try it! These three below are similar, but I had a hard time choosing and really love them all. Now the only question is, which one should I use on our website? What do you think?I love the way the vintage tones in this one bring out the maroon color of Carolyn's dress. Plus, her boots look really cute in this one.My obsession with tall grass has begun...They can even make looking into a mud puddle look good!This one is so pretty of them. I'm really jealous of Carolyn's hair. It was incredibly muggy that day, but her curls stayed in tact without frizzing. It must be a good hair day every day for her!He really loves her.This was taken after they took some pictures on the bull. After that, about four flower vendors came up to us to try to force them to buy flowers (for "free;" they must have seen Jerry pay the bull man). We were worried that we might possibly get shanked, so we scurried out of there. Hehe, j/k. The Stockyards are safe! There probably hasn't been a shanking in at least a couple of years.Snuggles in a dark-yet-colorful alley.Loved the yellow rails in this one. Carolyn and Jerry, you guys did an amazing job! You will soon be all over our website!

Congratulations, Victoria Rodriguez, winner of our Trash the Prom Dress contest! Victoria was our most enthusiastic applicant and has couple of fun and fluffy prom dresses that will look awesome in pictures. We can't wait to share our love of fashion photography with her to finish off her Senior Year.

Ellen and Richard were married at Ellen’s home in a gorgeous ceremony that could have been cut straight from the pages of  “In Style Weddings.” The genuine, welcoming feel of the intimate event was what really made their entire day memorable. Everyone there was someone special to the two as a couple. We definitely left with that warm fuzzy feeling! And the “I just got an AWESOME shot” feeling that makes me want to immediately load the pictures and pour over them the second I arrive home. In this case, that shot was the last image of this post, which I am convinced is the very essence of Ellen.Details are my FAVORITE. It was rather exciting and spy-like.Ellen is a chef, so of course the food was out-of-this-world-amazing. And so pretty!The crowd gathers to watch Ellen and Richard cut the cake.A very talented young man played the piano for the guests.They approve.The kids play in the front yard as the live music from the jazz band floats throughout the neighborhood. I love that Alyssa is into fashion. She made me want to grab Will's credit card (hehe, j/k, it's mine too) and head over to Betsey Johnson to do some serious damage.

How is it that she shops at my favorite designer's store? AND has impeccable taste in shoes (and I LOVE shoes!)? Is it possible that we were separated at birth and that I am actually still eighteen?? Hey, I can dream, can't I? (It was a really hard half-birthday yesterday. And I'm about to be to the point where I can't say my age anymore. 26.)

So on to the gorgeousness that is Alyssa. This is just a sneak peek; there are soooo many good ones!

We had already finished her session, but the gray sky was calling me. So we went outside to the rooftop deck, where we got this. I have to say, her hair holds up pretty well in the rain!
